Google Chrome was web browser created by Google that uses the WebKit layout engine and application framework. It was release on 11 December 2008.Google Chrome aims to be secure, fast, simple and stable. There are extensive differences from its peers in Chrome's minimalistic user interface, which is atypical of modern web browsers. The JavaScript virtual machine used by Chrome, the V8 JavaScript engine, has features such as dynamic code generation, hidden class transitions, and precise garbage collection. Tests by Google in September 2008 showed that V8 was about twice as fast as Firefox 3.0 and the WebKit nightlies.
And last May 2010, Google present a video that proves that Google Chrome was simple but fast.

Chrome vs. Potato
As i seen i the video, google use the webpage of allrecipes.com. I dont know why they choose that site. And as the result, Google Chrome was able to first load the web page of allrecipes.com than to slice the potato. According to what i've searched, Chrome sends the rendered page to the video card buffer all at once, which is why allrecipes.com appears at once, and not with the text first and images second. Chrome actually paints the page from top to bottom, but to eliminate a shadow from the driver board, we had to flip the monitor upside down and set the system preferences in Windows to rotate everything 180 degrees, resulting in the page appearing to render from bottom to top.
Chrome vs. Sound
The result was same as the first demonstration. Artist page from Pandora.com, a streaming internet radio service directly off the web on a 15Mbps internet connection was tested against the Chrome.
Chrome vs. Lightning
Again, The result was the same. They use the page of weather.com. Google Chrome wins the test!
I think everybody who watch this video was amazed. Imagine, Chrome defeats Lightning & Sound. I think, it became fast because of their internet connection or the specification of the computer. Personally, I don't believe that the chrome was fast as the video show. But some said, this is a test of how the browser loads the webpage, not how fast our internet speed is.
